I'm Éric Préjan, director of the Le Bois Soleil care home in Bois d'Arcy, a 90-bed facility. We tried it at first just to see how it worked, and in the end it works very well.
Residents, and their families in particular, have got into the habit of collecting the headset at reception to use it in conversations. It's part of our daily routine now.
It was quite convincing, especially with one of our residents, and it moved us all: Spokeo genuinely improved communication, and she was able to express herself far more than before. One resident with severe hearing loss, who refuses to be fitted with anything, was even able to attend his son's wedding in Portugal through a direct link on the computer. We had thank-you messages from the whole family. It really is a lovely tool.
