Our why
Spokeo is no coincidence. For over 15+ our group, Visiome/Audiome, has been involved in aiding patients with sensory impairments, reduced autonomy and cognitive decline across nursing homes in France. Throughout the years we have taken pride in serving nursing homes and their visual and hearing impaired residents, continuously deepening our understanding of life dynamics within these institutions.
Far too often, we've witnessed the challenging communication between residents and their caregivers, whether it's medical teams, nursing staff, or families, leading to numerous misunderstandings, wasted efforts, and valuable time lost in attempts to connect, causing mutual frustration and a sense of resignation..
The frustration experienced by caregivers and families, along with the increasing isolation of nursing home’s residents, inspired us to pursue an innovative solution aimed at seamlessly restoring clear and effective communication.
Motivated by an unwavering quest for solutions, we challenged the status quo: why should the burden of understanding the other fall solely on those facing hearing challenges? Through years of hands-on experience, we learned that the responsibility also lies with the facilities and individuals who serve this community. They should lead in offering tailored solutions that make communication accessible to everyone.
Spokeo, the result
After 5 rigorous years of research and development, more than 23 prototype iterations and invaluable support from ENT specialists, we are thrilled to bring Spokeo to the market. It represents the pinnacle of communication solutions, crafted not just for individuals with reduced autonomy and communication but also for healthcare providers and families looking to improve their interactions with patients and loved ones.
We firmly believe in fostering inclusive environments where every interaction is clearer, more meaningful, and free from communication barriers that can hinder those facing these challenges.
While Spokeo represents a significant breakthrough, we emphasize the importance of regular ENT check-ups every two years as a fundamental best practice.
